I was watching a video of this man who lives in a 450 sq. ft. apartment in Manhattan. He paid $235,000 for this tiny apartment which is a good deal. This apartment consists of a kitchen, bath, fold-up queen-size bed, hidden sliding door closet and etc. During the day, the bed area turns into an entertainment room or the living room. The kitchen has the most things in it, including storage for dry goods and cohiba cigars. It has two under-the-counter fridge. The storage ideas are very cool and I like it very much. The whole place looks pretty cozy to me. However, I am not sure if I can live in such a small space because I have claustrophobia. Also I have way too many stuff. If you like the minimalist concept, then perhaps you may want to check this cool apartment out.
Adding Colours To Your Home
Are you thinking of giving your space a little makeover? It doesn’t cost much to give your room a new look. Just add some colourful cushions or change your curtains. You can even replace your furniture with something bold. Recently I have bought myself a red sofa for the living area. It definitely brighten up the room. What is your favourite colour? I found some inspiration at Apartment Therapy.
Love the orange sofa
Hope you are inspired.
Kitchen Inspired
I was blog-hopping and came upon this lovely blog – A Beautiful Mess. I was looking at their home tour and discovered their kitchen. All the cabinets are painted with black chalkboard paint to make it easier for them to write messages and menus. How awesome is that? I have not come across any black kitchen cabinet before. Would love to have one like theirs.
I also love their vintage thermos collection on top of the cabinet.
Keeping The Home Organized For The New Year
Hey Peeps. Christmas has come and gone. I hope you all had a great time. In a few days’ time, we will be saying goodbye to 2011 and usher in the new year. One of the things in my to-do list for the new year is to get my home organized. My kitchen is on top of the list and then followed by my closet and the shoe closet. I was looking for some inspiration at Apartment Therapy and found some really nice and organized kitchens. Below are my favourites.
So neat and tidy
Very organized indeed.
a few things to love
I saw this simple bedroom at Simply Grove and fell in love with it. The whole bedroom is in white including the wooden floor. I would love to have a bedroom like this. The colourful cushions are just perfect to give the room a a splash of colours. Love it!
Here is another kid’s bedroom idea.
I love the splashes of bold and fun colours.
Gray And Yellow At Home
A friend of mine who works in a career network which connects job seekers who are looking for Technologists & Technicians Jobs, is busy renovating her house right now. She hopes to get everything done before Christmas. She loves the colour gray and yellow, and is on the search for some inspiration on how to decorate her home in these hues. Frankly, I think gray and yellow are beautiful and very classy. I found a few photos from my favourite home decor blogs and are going to show them to my friend. Hope she finds them useful.

Decorating With Mismatched Dining Chairs
I have a thing for mismatched chairs in the dining area. I have written about this a few times in my blog. Just love the looks of the mismatched chairs. It is charming and a great way to express yourself creativity. Don’t you find that eclectic? I am often inspired by the ones I see in my favourite decor blogs. Hopefully I can do that to my dining room. Just have to find the right mismatched chairs.
The Use Of Crates Around The House
I love crates. I love its rustic look. There are a few in my home which I got from the grocery stores. Right now the crates are being used as storage for my tools out in the porch. I have been looking for more crates so that I can gather a few of them together and put them in my bedroom to store my accessories, boots or t-shirts. They are so versatile. I saw this cool idea from Storage and Glee. – Putting a smaller crate into the bigger one.
Great idea?
Decorating A Small Apartment
So Halloween has come and gone. Time sure flies. Did you take your kids out for Halloween? The weather is getting colder now eventhough it’s only the beginning of November. I should really get my down jackets at RockyMountainTrail.com this winter. While blog-hopping just now, I came across this really charming apartment in Paris which has a vintage touch to it. It is a small apartment which is tastefully decorated. My favourite rooms are
The kitchen
The bedroom. Check out the fruit boxes being used as storage on top of the cupboard.

I would love to have an exposed brickwall inside my house or on the porch.
An all-white kitchen filled with rustic furniture such as the vintage wood table and cupboard.
I love the all-white living room with a splash of colours from the furniture.
