I am into stripes lately and have been trying to decorate my home with things that have stripes in them such as striped bedsheets or plates with stripe designs. What strike me was how serene this whole place is. I love the white wall, white ceiling and the white flooring. The decor is very simple and calming. If I were wearing any dickies scrubs, it would be as if I am working in a very sterile environment. I like the Tine K home basket that was painted black. It adds a special touch to the room.
I saw this Gus Upcycled Ottoman at 2Modern last night while blog hopping. I just love how this ottoman is upholstered using repurposed fair trade coffee bags. Love the texture of the coffee bags. I think the bag is made of jute material. Each ottoman is unique and features the logos and markings used to identify the original goods. They certainly add an interesting touch to the room.

So I was at IKEA again a few days ago, looking for some ideas. Actually I plan to change my pendant lamp which has been in my living room for 4 years. I would like to DIY the pendant lamp if I can. When I came to the Lighting section, I saw the white VATE Pendant lamp shade.
It was decorated with Slatthult Decorative stickers. The pendant lamp looks so nice with the stickers on it. I think I should consider this idea or perhaps dye some coffee filters and stick them onto the lamp for a ruffled design. I saw this on Pinterest a while ago. Let me go and buy the VATE pendant lamp shade first.
