I was blog hopping and spotted a few images which I like at The Decorista. I am totally smitten with the exotic textiles on rugs, cushions and sofas. I love having bold colours in my home. They are just great for adding some splashes of colours to the home. Best of all, they are affordable too. No need to repaint the walls and all. Just get a few pieces of cushions in bold design or maybe change the rug and you are all set.
I have a lighting set which consists of a rectangular shaped lamp with 3 light bulbs. After having it for 4 years, I think it is time to change. I was at IKEA Hackers blog and came upon this idea of using ORGEL Pendant lamp shades. I love the idea of using Paper Pendant Lamps in the living area. I think I have to go check out IKEA very soon.
While my spouse cannot wait to get his hands on a coolant pump, I cannot wait to find myself some big baskets. I saw this DIY Basket Lampshade at annaleenashem.blogspot.com and was blown away. They are so simple and beautiful. I am so inspired to do a few for my home. According to the blog owner, she turned the basket upside down and put a plastic suspension device through the bottom of the basket. Then she painted the basket black. A very simple DIY Basket Lampshade and the result is amazing.
I am loving this Front Facing Bookshelf. It is actually a wood pallet that has been repurposed to a book shelf. I love wood pallets and this is another great and creative idea on using them around the home. This bookshelf is made from 2 wooden pallets and painted in white. I was at OhDeeDoh and saw this cute coffee table made from cable spool. You know how much I love furniture or knick-knacks made from recycled items eh? Not only is this a great idea as table, I also love how this wooden cable spool offers storage for books around the edge. Very inspiring. If only I can get my hands one. I would love to turn it into bedside table for me where I can lay down my glacier sunglasses, a vase and a cup of coffee.

I love the white sofa with lots of colourful cushion. I think I can lounge there the whole day.
I like the island and the sofa in the kitchen. If I am not mistaken, the dining area is outdoor or perhaps in a little indoor garden on the right of the kitchen. Love that.

Oh we are almost at the end of August already. Looks like summer is going to end soon. Where has the time gone? I love this image which I saw at Simply Grove. It reminds me of summer a lot. I always love a home with bright and airy windows. I just can’t get enough of the natural light in the home. The home decor is so simple and cozy. Check out the colourful sofas. They look so comfortable too. It would be wonderful just to relax in a home like this on a warm summer night, reading a book or watching tv while the kids are playing on the nintendo ds. Bliss.
A couple of days ago, I received one of the cutest birthday party invitations ever. It has a picture of an elephant on the card. Well lately, I am just crazy over elephants. These gentle giants just make my heart melt. I have since jumped on the elephant bandwagon and have been looking around for elephant decors for my home.
