I was on Pinterest when I spotted some very inspiring ideas for garage organization. I have been meaning to organize my garage and restore some order in there but have been putting it off. My garage seriously need an overhaul. My spouse even joked that once the clutter has disappeared, we may even have space for a 4 post lift. If you are planning to restore some functionality into the garage, you may want to check these out.

I am obsessed with baskets and for many years, I have been buying baskets as storage and decor around my house. I use them to put my fruits, magazines, toiletries and etc. If you were to come to my house, you may find rattan or seagrass baskets in all shapes and sizes. I was at Crate and Barrel recently and saw a few beautiful ones. Oh I am so tempted to get more but my spouse was asking if I really need them. I guess I would have to take a rain check for now.

Pramana Magazine Basket. Love the dark tone.

I love jewelries and I have amassed quite a big collection of them. The only problem is that I do not have a place to keep them except inside my jewelry box. This is not a good thing because I find it hard to choose the jewelry I like to go with my outfit. I have been on a mission to organize my collection when I stumbled upon a few DIY Jewelry Organizer ideas from Pinterest which I think I would want to give it a try.

Christmas is fast approaching. Have you started your gift shopping yet? Well I have started mine about 2 weeks ago. I just love shopping for gifts. The best part is wrapping them. I also love to check out some crafty blogs or Pinterest for creative gift wrapping ideas. While gift-shopping online after I have helped my friend to look at some water fountains for her office , I stumbled upon these lovely storage buckets at Chewing The Cud. They are so pretty and very functional too. Besides using as gift buckets, they can be used to store knick-knacks at home too.

I was looking at my closet last night and I am so not happy with it. The clothes are not folded nicely and I have not been arranging them well. I have pants hanging next to my tops which look so unorganized. Since it is a walk-in open wardrobe, I can all the mess as soon as I step into my closet. The last time I de-clutter was about 6 months ago. I think it is time to say goodbye to tardiness now. I found some great quick and easy closet makeover tips from Real Simple just now. What I need now is to get a few jumbo boxes from the Container Store to keep my bulky sweaters and also some 5 tier Swing Arm Slack hangers from Organize.com.

My friend invited me over to her house for dinner last weekend. It was to celebrate her husband’s birthday. The dinner get-together was simply wonderful and the birthday ‘boy’ was so happy as it was a surprise dinner. I enjoy going to my friend’s home because I love to see how she decorates her living space. I spotted this Manchester Media stand which she ordered from Urban Outfitters. This mid-century inspired stand has a sleek and functional design. It is great for holding record players, laptops and many more. Since my friend’s husband is a music lover, she uses this stand to hold the marshall 50th anniversary amp and vinyls. It is the perfect addition to their music room.

While blog-hopping last night, I came across several cool ideas at HomeMadeSimple.com on how to keep things organized around the home. I love these creative ideas very much and I thought I would share them with you here. My all-time favourite is using wooden crates as storage. They make great shelving for books, toys, toiletries such as personalized toothbrush, towels and etc. Below are more ideas on how to keep your space clutter-free:-

I have just helped a friend to buy padron online for her party next week. Now that I have some free time, I am going to check out See Jane Works for some canvas bins. They are so stylish and versatile. I spotted them at a friend’s home recently and I think I should get a few of them. These heavy weight canvas storage bins will hold everything from magazines to towels. I just love the chevron design on these bins.
